What happened in the Phuket Tsunami?

On December the 26^th a huge wave went across the Indian Ocean leaving a path of death and destruction in the coastal areas of several countries. It is estimated that about 230,000 people died during the tidal wave. The west coast of Thailand was one of the areas that got hit badly. There were about 5,400 confirmed deaths in Thailand and there was 2,800 people missing.

When did the Phuket Tsunami happen?

The Tsunami happened in 26 of December 2004 about 10:00 am  when the wall of water hit Phuket. 2 hours before the tsunami there was 2 earthquakes. The first one lasted 2 to 3 minutes, then there was another one 20 minutes later.
